……………………………………………………………………………… Cheng Zhaoqi ̵ 28 ̶
The Tokyo Trial concerns the conclusion of the Japanese aggression and the political transformation of the post-War
Japan. Therefoređfrom the defender of the Tokyo Trial to the Japanese right wingđattacking the Tokyo Trial has never
interrupted. Since the 1980sđalong with the Japanese politicians' visits to the Yasukuni Shrineđthe Japanese politicians
had also begun to openly deny the Tokyo Trial in public occasions. Laterđas the whole of Japanese society turns rightđthe
Tokyo Trial has been negatively labeled in the general perception of Japan. The Japanese right wing also claims that the
justice and legitimacy of the Tokyo Trial have been overturned. On the other handđlooking back on the Tokyo Trial and the
long debateđthe evaluation of the Tokyo Trialđespecially in the Japanese academic circlesđhas not been reversed as a
whole. The most important historical significance of the Tokyo Trial has notđcannot be shakenđnor be overturned.
